My Cryo Jet!

If you can read this then there is a problem.

So, I was talking with a guy named Billy one day and asked him what made the climbing smoke and noise during a special effect that he did in a western show. He explained to me that it was liquid co2 (from a siphon tube tank) being released into a diffuser. I didn't ask many more questions, because I had to leave for jump rope but I decided I wanted to make one as a learning experience, special effect for my western show, and just for fun. I looked on line for some DIY plans but found none. I decided to try to making one by only going off of pictures from factory made ones. I definitely decided not to buy one…the cheapest one to buy is around $750. Anyhow, I basically made the diffuser by starting with ½ inch hose getting larger to 2 inch PVC as quickly as reducer couplings would allow. I realized that liquid co2 is VERY cold and the hose and PVC might not take the temperature and crack…but I figured if I didn't move them right after I used the jet they would have a change to warm up again and be okay. Oh. And I used a 2000 psi (plenty of safety margin) 1/4 turn ball valve so I could release the co2 quickly and not have to turn the tank valve 3 times around. The total price of the jet was around $17 vs. $750 if I bought a commercial one. And I bought my own 20 lb siphon co2 tank so I wouldn't have to pay rent fees to a welding supplier. Now all I need to pay for it the carbine dioxide. The only downside is that every second I leave the jet on the carbine dioxide costs me $1.30. Anyway, this is a video of the 3rd test run of the cryo jet:
